London’s Air Ambulance Charity uses face-to-face and telephone fundraising as a great way to raise awareness of our work in the community. Each of our fundraising agencies are specialists in what they do and believe in our work.
Face-to-face fundraisers who represent London’s Air Ambulance Charity will:

Be wearing something with the London’s Air Ambulance Charity's logo on it.
Where are our face-to-face fundraisers?
London’s Air Ambulance Charity fundraisers work within the M25 area and conduct a mix of door-to-door and private site fundraising. Private site simply means the fundraising takes place in a supermarket, a shopping centre, a garden centre or similar.
Who are our face-to-face fundraisers?
Tower Lotteries are our longest-standing fundraising agency and are specialists in recruiting lottery players for air ambulances across the country. As well as working in hospitals and retail sites, some Tower employees work on a door-to-door basis across different areas of London.
Gemini have been fundraising on our behalf since 2016. Gemini fundraisers will be found exclusively in retail sites, so keep an eye out for them when you’re next doing your shopping.
NTT Fundraising is an agency specialising in telephone fundraising for the charity sector based in Bristol. NTT fundraising has been working with London’s Air Ambulance Charity since October 2021 to call supporters on our behalf to help us to provide the best supporter experience.
BriteVox are our newest face-to-face fundraising agency, coming on board in October 2021. Britevox fundraise on our behalf across London in either Private Sites or door to door, and carry out a mix of lottery and regular giving fundraising.
Tower Fundraising Abseil Challenge
Two of our Tower fundraisers, Jenny Fletcher and Lisa Sweeting, took part in our abseil in September 2023. This involved being dropped from the end of a rope from the 17th Floor of The Royal London Hospital to the ground below.
Between them, Jenny and Lisa raised almost £1,000 for London's Air Ambulance Charity!

For how long have you fundraised on behalf of London’s Air Ambulance Charity for?
I started working on LAAC in 2017. I took a year out around covid but in all have worked for the charity for 5 years.
What do you most like about fundraising?
The challenge of reaching targets that I set internally to help the charity. I love hearing people's stories and knowing that in a small way I’m helping a great cause and saving lives.
What inspires you to fundraise?
I love challenging myself and setting goals and targets, these goals help the charity and also help me. After being involved in charity for years, creating awareness makes me feel good about what we do. London's Air Ambulance Charity has no hidden negatives for people. The work we do saves lives and keeps London people safe.
Why did you choose to become a fundraiser?
The feel good factor of the charity we endorse, this is a role which provides London and people with a benefit of a real life solution that saves lives. I feel the small work we do goes a long way to the running of this great charity.
Can you think of any special moments from your fundraising?
All stores leave me needing a few minutes to recuperate. It makes me very proud to be helping in some small way towards something important.
Frequently asked questions about our face-to-face fundraising
We carry out face-to-face fundraising in private sites, such as shopping centres, and also have fundraisers who go door to door. We encourage people to become regular supporters either by playing our weekly lottery or by signing up to a monthly donation.
These regular gifts are incredibly valuable to us as they provide sustainable and unrestricted income, which helps us plan and deliver the service we provide with a greater degree of confidence. Face-to-face fundraising is also a great way for us to raise awareness of our work out in the community.
We use telephone fundraising to communicate with existing supporters; we never make cold calls. We call supporters to thank them for their donation and to find out if they would like to continue to support our life-saving work with a regular donation.
Examples of our telephone fundraising campaigns are reaching out to people who supported with text donations following our Trauma Doctors TV documentary or contacting previous donors to give them the option of becoming regular supporters.
Our telephone fundraising partner is NTT Fundraising. For more information please see the FAQ: "Who has called me?"
We work with NTT Fundraising, a telephone fundraising agency. NTT carries out welcome calls on our behalf for new lottery and regular giving supporters.
NTT will be using the following phone numbers: 0203 476 8475, 0203 476 8477, or 0203 343 8126.
If you have received a call from the above numbers but would rather not receive further calls from NTT, you can opt-out out at any time, either by calling the number back and following the instructions given, or by contacting Supporter Care on [email protected] or 020 3023 3319, 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday.
We also work with Britevox Limited, Tower and Gemini Fundraising, three specialist face-to-face agencies who help us carry out our fundraising. All our fundraisers carry photo ID. We have a copy of their photo along with the areas they cover, but you can contact our office to confirm their identity.
We are committed to the highest standards of fundraising practice. Please read our fundraising promise for more information. All our fundraisers receive training from us and we regularly review our processes.
However, if you ever have any questions or concerns about any of our fundraising, or would like to make a complaint, please contact us on [email protected] or 020 3023 3319, we are available to take your call Monday to Friday from 9.00am - 5.00pm.
Fundraising is a very difficult job, requiring lots of support, administration and training. Although we can support a small in-house team, in order to generate the level of support we need we have to look for external help.
Each of our agencies are specialists in what they do and believe in our work here at London’s Air Ambulance Charity, allowing us to focus on other aspects of the charity whilst they take care of some of our fundraising needs. We ensure that each agency is carefully trained and monitored so that they are the best possible ambassadors for us.
London’s Air Ambulance Charity is registered with the Fundraising Regulator and committed to follow the Code of Fundraising Practice and the Fundraising Promise.
We take all complaints very seriously and aim to resolve complaints quickly, fairly and effectively. We promise to deal with your complaint with sensitivity. If you request confidentiality, we will make every effort to protect your identity from disclosure.
We aim to deal with all complaints in line with our Supporter Care Promise.
Without the support of the community it would not be possible to continue our life-saving work. Your donation today could save the life of a loved one tomorrow.
