Pupil wearing helmet as part of LAA School visit

In September 2024 we spoke to the 50,000th young person through our schools and youth outreach activity. On 19 September we reached this milestone at an assembly talk for pupils at Lloyd Williamson School in Kensington & Chelsea.

We have had a dedicated resource for outreach since October 2017 and since then, we have carried out over 500 visits to schools and youth groups across London to inform and educate the young people of the capital about the work of their local air ambulance charity.

Visits have ranged from talking about ‘people who help us’ with Reception classes, up to career-focused sessions with sixth form students considering their future options.

Through this activity we hope to inspire future colleagues in our operational and charity teams.
